In 2011, one of the biggest marketing stories was the rise of mobile, setting up 2012 to be the “Year of Mobile.” At Vibes, we’re supporting the market by expanding our mobile marketing platform to include new channels, starting with Twitter integration this month. Last year, brands and publishers focused on Mobile Web and Mobile Apps to augment mobile campaigns. And if you aren’t familiar with SoLoMo – we are, and are innovating our platform to support this convergence of social, location and mobile. Over the past several months, we ran Tweet-2-Screen campaigns where we displayed fans’ tweets on screen at the Honda Civic Blink 182 tour and Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound tour. The Blink 182 reunion tour went great. Not only was it clear that the fans enjoyed the tour for the music and entertainment, they were very willing to engage with the brand, the band and each other via Twitter. With 20 total concerts taking place over this past summer, each venue averaged a thousand tweets a night. Along with that, we found that users were still excited to engage via text messaging, with a few thousand messages sent a night for the Text-2-Screen campaign.
